OUR LONG-TERM VISION

ACTIVITY PARKS
The new standard - vibrant, inspiring, mixed-use places, where people of all ages can gather, socialise, and be active.

FAIR DISTRIBUTION
We envision a future where all young people - regardless of postcode - can access safe, welcoming places to play.

DIRECT FUNDING
To advocate for a national funding stream, dedicated to providing communities with places for activity.
What is an Activity Park?
An Activity Park is a mixed-use space for alternative, self-organised activities - often combining facilities for multiple disciplines - such as skate, ride, and parkour - all in a single footprint. These exist alongside conventional play equipment for younger children, space for families, and the necessary amenities to spend the whole day there.
Activity parks are aesthetic, vibrant places that are woven into their surroundings with landscaping, considered lines of sight, and dedicated social areas. They encourage community cohesion through fun, play, and activity.
Examples of this new style of Activity Park were pioneered in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, countries where health and wellbeing are considered national priorities.
What makes an Activity Park unique is the proximity effect - placing multiple provisions side-by-side creates interest, increases the chances of engagement.
In other words: when you see others moving, you want to join in.
